Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility to keep residents comfortable and safe
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Follow infection control policies and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to a positive workplace culture

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated compassion, dependability, and strong communication skills
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role such as lifting and standing during shifts
• Willingness to complete facility orientation and any state-required training

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care skills and familiarity with ADLs
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
• Strong teamwork and time management skills
• Good observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
• Commitment to infection control and resident safety
