Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and respect
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to prevent falls and injuries
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident environments, following infection control practices
• Support meal assistance and hydration, monitoring intake as directed
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to ensure coordinated care
• Document care delivered accurately in resident charts and raise concerns immediately

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (State of Pennsylvania) — required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
• Basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role (lifting, transfers) and able to follow safe patient-handling protocols
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-player mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CNA certification (State of Pennsylvania)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in providing personal care and assisting with ADLs
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety practices
• Ability to take accurate vital signs and observe/report clinical changes
• Familiarity with resident rights, dignity, and person-centered care
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
• Basic documentation skills and ability to follow care plans
