Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection prevention protocols
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families and interdisciplinary team members
• Document resident care and observations in accordance with facility policies
• Alert nursing staff to any changes in a resident's condition promptly

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and complete required health screenings/immunizations
• Comfortable assisting with physical tasks and transfers; ability to stand and move for a full shift
• Reliable, professional, and punctual with strong teamwork and communication skills
• Previous long-term care experience is a plus but new grads with strong bedside skills are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs and resident personal care
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control and hygiene best practices
• Strong observational skills and ability to report clinical changes
• Good interpersonal communication and teamwork
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
• Basic charting and documentation skills
