Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents/patients including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility support and fall prevention measures
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communicate effectively during shift handoffs
• Uphold infection control, safety protocols and facility policies to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support high-quality care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Class: CNA) — required
• Active/state-appropriate CNA credential or ability to obtain Pennsylvania CNA authorization
• Comfort working the night shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and supporting residents during overnight hours
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• CPR/BLS certification preferred and willingness to obtain if required by facility

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
• Ability to take and record accurate vital signs
• Familiarity with safety, infection control and fall prevention practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills; clear verbal communication during handoffs
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
