Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility safely and respectfully
• Monitor patients' conditions and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Accurately document care delivered and maintain clear communication in charting
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with nurses and other caregivers to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (must be valid in New Mexico)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable providing 12-hour overnight patient care and working per diem schedules
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally to assigned facility locations

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
• Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety standards
• Basic charting and documentation skills; ability to learn facility EMR quickly
• Ability to perform safe patient transfers and proper body mechanics
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork skills
