Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, aiding with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Take and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and maintain patient charts with attention to detail
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (valid in New Mexico)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility
• Comfortable providing direct patient care and supporting ADLs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
• Reliable transportation for per diem shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
