Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Assist nursing staff with activities of daily living and basic clinical tasks
• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for patients and families
• Communicate clearly with the care team to support coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner following facility guidelines

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in the applicable state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or required by facility
• Comfortable with 12-hour day shifts and physically able to assist patients
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute care settings preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control practices
• Skill in safe patient transfer and mobility techniques
• Ability to take vitals and recognize changes in patient status
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and the care team
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn facility systems
• Time management skills to prioritize care during busy shifts
