Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and proper use of mobility aids
• Maintain a clean, comfortable living environment for residents
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
• Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner
• Promote dignity and independence for every resident served

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — active and in good standing
• Previous hands-on experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and health screenings as required
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Reliable transportation and flexibility for per diem shift coverage

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care
• Proficient with vital signs measurement and basic resident observations
• Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety
• Ability to follow care plans and chart accurately
• Team player who communicates effectively with nursing staff and families
• Attention to detail and a patient-centered approach
