Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care for patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and observations
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality care
- Uphold infection control standards and contribute to a clean, safe environment
- Offer emotional support and clear communication to patients and families
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — Georgia certification preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but new CNAs are welcome to apply
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
- Physical stamina for 12.5-hour shifts and patient handling
