Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily living assistance to residents with dignity and respect
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
Monitor resident condition and communicate changes promptly to nursing staff
Help create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Document care provided accurately and timely in resident records
Collaborate with teammates to promote resident-centered care and positive outcomes

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Connecticut (or eligible for state certification)
Valid state-required vaccinations and ability to pass background checks
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Ability to perform physical aspects of the job (assisting with mobility and transfers)
Previous long‑term care or assisted living experience preferred but not always required

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care and safety procedures
Familiarity with documentation and simple charting
Ability to follow care plans and direction from nursing staff
Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and colleagues
Basic infection control and hygiene practices
