Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and help maintain dignity and comfort
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Monitor and record vital signs and resident condition, escalating changes to nursing staff promptly
Document care accurately and timely in the resident chart to ensure continuity of care
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep residents and team members safe
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification (PA preferred) — active and in good standing
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Comfortable working in a long-term/skilled nursing environment; prior LTC experience is a plus
Strong communication skills, compassion, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team
Required immunizations and background checks per facility policy

Education

High school diploma or GED
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and ADL support
Vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
Accurate charting and documentation practices
Infection prevention and safety procedures
Good time management, teamwork, and resident-centered communication
