Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to preserve dignity and comfort
• Observe and document patient conditions and behaviors in a clear, timely manner
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for residents and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and multidisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Support infection control practices and follow facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or clinical setting preferred
• Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and standing for shifts
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and activities of daily living
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to document care clearly in charts or electronic systems
• Good teamwork, time management, and patient-centered communication
