Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care and assistance to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and general observations
• Document observations and care given accurately and promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and devices
• Maintain infection control and follow facility policies to keep patients safe
• Communicate changes in condition to nursing staff and collaborate with the care team
• Offer emotional support and respectful companionship to patients and families

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (valid to work in Pennsylvania)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Comfortable with hands-on patient care and physically able to assist with mobility

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic nursing care principles and patient safety practices
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs and reporting changes
• Familiarity with infection control and sanitation protocols
• Good time management and documentation skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nursing staff
