Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and support activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and repositioning to keep residents safe and dignified
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing leadership promptly
- Support meal assistance and ensure hydration needs are met
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with the care team
- Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to ensure a safe environment
- Build rapport with residents and families, offering respectful and person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in good standing (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required by facility)
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
- Ability to pass background checks and required facility screenings
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed CNA program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of ADLs (activities of daily living) and patient mobility assistance
- Basic proficiency taking and recording vital signs
- Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
- Comfortable with charting/documentation and following care plans
- Teamwork mindset and ability to communicate effectively with nurses and families
