Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, helping with daily living activities
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and toileting while preserving dignity
Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly
Support safe transfers and positioning to prevent injury and maintain comfort
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear, kind communication

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Ability to work an 8-hour shift schedule as assigned
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Pass background checks and any facility-required screenings
Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality care

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in assisting with ADLs (activities of daily living)
Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs
Knowledge of basic infection control practices and PPE use
Good observational skills for reporting patient changes
Strong interpersonal skills and customer-service mindset with residents
Basic familiarity with electronic charting or paper charting processes
