Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments using the nursing process and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver timely care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in line with policies, standards of care, and state practice acts
• Document patient care accurately and promptly to meet clinical standards
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education
• Participate in department performance improvement initiatives and share governance activities
• Provide clinical guidance and support across units to ensure continuity of the patient’s plan of care
• Use critical thinking to prioritize patient safety and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• Engage in professional nursing practice activities, peer review, and unit-based decision making

Qualifications

• Active WI RN licensure required
• Verified education (education verification required prior to start)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• NIHSS certification required
• Either TNCC or TNS required
• Up-to-date flu vaccination as required by facility policy
• Experience working as an ER RN preferred; comfortable with fast-paced emergency care and night shift work

Education

• Education verification required (standard nursing education credentials)

• Skilled in patient assessment and triage in the emergency environment
• Strong medication administration and clinical documentation practices
• Proficient in care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Excellent critical thinking and patient safety focus
• Comfortable with emergency protocols, trauma response, and rapid decision-making
• Able to communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team
