Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the Uptown Health/Rehab area
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform thorough assessments and document care clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Provide patient and family education with empathy and clarity
• Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers to keep patient flow smooth

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (licensed to practice in New Mexico preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Prior nursing experience in long-term care, rehab, or medical-surgical settings is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities
• Ability to pass required facility background checks and screenings

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (diploma or certificate)
• RN: Graduate of an accredited associate or baccalaureate nursing program (ADN/BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessments, wound care, and medication administration
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family teaching and team collaboration
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
