Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to rehabilitation patients
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and update care plans
• Educate patients and families about recovery goals and self-care strategies
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility plans to promote functional gains
• Escalate clinical concerns promptly and contribute to continuous quality improvement

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — RN preferred
• Current, unrestricted nursing license in the state of Maryland (or compact license where applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required
• Experience in rehabilitation or long-term care is a strong plus
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to work independently and adapt to varying patient needs

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN program as applicable)
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and nursing documentation
• Knowledge of rehabilitation nursing principles and patient mobility techniques
• Familiarity with wound care, restorative nursing, and ADL assistance
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems and following policies
