Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults across the facility
- Perform accurate assessments and document patient status and interventions
- Administer medications and treatments safely according to policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
- Educate patients and families on care, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain clinical documentation and follow facility protocols for quality care
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license in good standing (New Mexico licensure preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working in an acute or rehabilitation setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a multidisciplinary team
- Previous clinical experience preferred; new grads with clinical rotations considered
Education
- Licensed Practical Nurse: Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
- Registered Nurse: ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
- Medication administration and IV site observation
- Wound care basics and rehabilitation support
- Electronic medical records documentation
- Infection control practices and patient safety principles
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
