Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments for orthopedic cases with attention to sterile technique
• Anticipate surgeon needs and assist the surgical team throughout procedures to support efficient, safe care
• Maintain and monitor the sterile field, ensuring all counts and protocols are followed
• Manage instrument sets, perform instrument checks, and ensure proper sterilization and handling
• Participate in the call rotation and respond promptly (return within 45 minutes when called)
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and perioperative staff to promote excellent patient outcomes and a positive OR environment

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) — required
• Demonstrated orthopedic OR experience — required
• Ability to work full-time (36 hours/week) within day-shift hours and participate in call rotation
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced surgical setting
• Reliable ability to return to the facility within 45 minutes when on call
