Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform timely assessments and document patient condition clearly in the chart
- Communicate changes in patient status to the interdisciplinary team and provider
- Assist with activities of daily living and support patient mobility when needed
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe care environment
- Collaborate with CNAs and other staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina (required)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
- Minimum clinical experience as an LPN preferred, though motivated new grads are welcome to apply
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent diploma
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Clinical assessment and basic patient monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
- Good communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
- Basic wound care, infection control, and ADL support
