Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to long-term care residents
• Assess residents regularly and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
• Perform routine clinical procedures and support activities of daily living
• Follow infection control and immunization requirements to protect residents and staff
• Participate in the PD pool to ensure consistent, high-quality coverage across the facility

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (Alabama required or compact RN eligible)
• Experience or comfort working in Long-Term Care (LTC) settings
• Required health items: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza vaccinations, physical/health statement, and Trinity 10 Panel drug screen
• Current basic clinical skills in medication administration, resident assessment, and documentation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a care team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or diploma) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of long-term care best practices and resident-centered care
• Skilled in medication administration and clinical documentation
• Familiarity with infection prevention and immunization protocols
• Ability to assess changes in clinical status and escalate appropriately
• Comfort working independently during per diem shifts and integrating into existing teams
