Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive ultrasound exams across specialties including abdominal, vascular duplex, obstetric (1st–3rd trimester), gynecologic, neonatal, and superficial structures
• Execute invasive ultrasound-guided procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, drainages, and intraoperative imaging with precision and safety
• Assess and document both normal and pathological findings, supporting diagnostic and treatment plans
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment (Canon i700) and ensure accurate image archiving in Fuji Synapse PACS
• Accurately enter exam documentation and patient information into Meditech EMR and follow departmental protocols
• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients and communicate findings clearly to the care team
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond professionally to urgent imaging needs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• ARDMS credential(s): AB (Abdomen), OB (Obstetrics), and RVT (Vascular Technology) required
• Active BLS certification — must be AHA certified
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an acute hospital setting performing diagnostic ultrasound
• Competency in obstetric (including biophysical profiles and amniocentesis support), gynecologic, neonatal, vascular duplex, and superficial structure imaging
• Comfortable performing ultrasound-guided procedures (aspirations, biopsies, drainages, intraoperative)
• Ability to float to other units and cover on-call responsibilities as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in abdominal, OB/GYN, neonatal, vascular duplex, and superficial structure imaging
• Hands-on experience with Canon i700 ultrasound systems
• Working knowledge of Meditech EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS workflows
• Strong patient communication and pediatric/neonatal handling skills
• Familiarity with aseptic technique and imaging-guided procedural safety
• Detail-oriented image acquisition and accurate clinical documentation
