Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Day); On-call rotation includes three overnight weekday shifts per month (3:00 PM - 6:30 AM) and one 24-hour weekend call every 6 weeks; 30-minute call response time. Rotating (day with nights/weekends).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist and support surgeons in the Operating Room across a high-volume caseload, ensuring patient safety and surgical flow
• Circulate and scrub for a broad range of cases including orthopedics, podiatry, urology, ENT, plastics and general surgery
• Operate and assist with robotic systems such as DaVinci and Mako during total joint and other procedures
• Maintain strict sterile technique and set up instrumentation and supplies for each case
• Accurately document interventions and chart in EPIC to support continuity of care
• Respond to on-call assignments within the 30-minute response window and provide reliable coverage
• Collaborate with charge nurse and OR team to triage cases and support efficient throughput

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience, with circulating experience required
• WA state license required
• BLS certification required
• CST preferred; CNOR is a plus
• Comfortable working with orthopedics (preferred) and robotic platforms (DaVinci, Mako)
• Experience charting in EPIC or willingness to learn quickly
• Able to participate in on-call rotation and meet the 30-minute response requirement

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CST credential preferred; CNOR encouraged but not required
• BSN not required for this role

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong sterile technique and OR instrumentation knowledge
• Circulating and scrubbing proficiency
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
• Hands-on experience or comfort with robotic-assisted surgery (DaVinci, Mako)
• Ability to manage fast-paced case volumes (average ~15 cases/day across 5 suites)
• Teamwork, clear communication, and adaptability during high-acuity procedures
