Location: Santa Cruz, California

Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour shifts, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, with night call and weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment is ready for procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and follow strict infection control protocols
- Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver exceptional patient care
- Support smooth transitions between cases to keep the OR running efficiently
Qualifications
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience as a Surgical Tech in the operating room preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Cerner Surginet EMR system
- Familiar with Phillips telemetry and Draeger ventilators
- Knowledge of general and cardiac surgical procedures
- Ability to scrub and assist across multiple specialties
