Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care during assigned shift
Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in patient condition
Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
Collaborate with the care team to develop and update care plans
Document care and patient responses clearly in the medical record
Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity
Support unit flow by accepting assignments and helping with transitions

Qualifications

Active California Registered Nurse license required
Valid BLS certification; ACLS preferred or as required by unit
Current clinical experience in nursing settings relevant to the role
Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently on per diem shifts and step into teams quickly
Authorized to work in the U.S.; ability to meet credentialing requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and vital signs interpretation
Medication administration and IV/infusion familiarity
Patient safety practices and infection control
Electronic health record documentation
Clear communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
