Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care in a school health setting, helping students feel safe and supported
• Assist with daily living activities, hygiene, mobility, and basic clinical tasks with professionalism
• Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and any changes in student condition
• Communicate effectively with school staff and families about student needs and care plans
• Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Support individualized health plans and follow physician or nursing instructions accurately

Qualifications

• Current, active CNA certification (required)
• Comfortable working in a school health environment and interacting with students of various ages
• Ability to pass background checks and required school clearances
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic clinical skills: vital signs, personal care, and mobility assistance
• Familiarity with charting and basic documentation practices
• Ability to de-escalate situations and provide calm, compassionate care
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize student safety
• Comfort collaborating with nurses, school staff, and families
