Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory therapy care including patient assessment and individualized treatment plans
• Manage mechanical ventilation and perform ventilator adjustments and weaning according to protocols
• Perform ABG sampling and analysis to guide respiratory interventions
• Deliver noninvasive support such as CPAP and BiPAP and troubleshoot devices as needed
• Administer aerosolized treatments, nebulizer therapy, and chest physiotherapy (CPT)
• Document care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Respond confidently to respiratory emergencies and participate in code response when required
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to improve patient outcomes and support clinical initiatives

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience (required)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred by the director
• Comfortable with trauma cases and fast-paced acute care environments (preferred)
• Proven experience with mechanical ventilators and noninvasive ventilation modalities

Knowledge & Skills

• Respiratory therapy best practices and patient assessment
• Mechanical ventilation management (including settings, troubleshooting, and weaning)
• ABG collection and interpretation
• Hands-on experience with Servo I, Hamilton, V60, and Astral ventilators
• CPAP and BiPAP application and monitoring
• Nebulizer therapy and chest physiotherapy (CPT)
• Proficiency documenting in Meditech EMR
• Strong teamwork, critical thinking, and clear communication skills
