Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and treatment for patients with respiratory insufficiencies and acute pulmonary conditions
• Manage and set up mechanical ventilation including Servo I, Hamilton and other ventilators
• Perform ABG analysis and interpret results to guide therapy
• Administer and monitor CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizer therapy, and chest physiotherapy
• Document treatments and patient status accurately in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond rapidly to respiratory emergencies and assist with critical interventions
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and home therapies when appropriate

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience
• Trauma experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management and ventilator troubleshooting
• ABG collection and interpretation
• CPAP and BiPAP setup and monitoring
• Nebulizer therapy and airway clearance techniques including chest physiotherapy
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for documentation
• Experience with devices such as Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and patient-centered focus
