Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to adult patients with cardiac monitoring needs
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and respond quickly to changes
• Assess, plan, implement and document nursing care in the medical record
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately per policy
• Communicate clearly with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients and families
• Participate in admissions, discharges and patient education to support recovery
• Respond effectively to emergencies and escalate concerns according to protocol

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact state privileges
• Experience caring for telemetry patients (prior telemetry experience preferred)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred
• Strong assessment, monitoring and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable working per-diem shifts and adapting to unit workflows
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
• Cardiac assessment and recognition of dysrhythmias
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Accurate EHR documentation and time management
• Patient education and family communication
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and in fast-paced settings
