Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips each shift
Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, and post-cath recovery
Collaborate with the care team on total joint replacement and stroke recovery patients
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed to support hospital-wide care
Administer set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem under protocol
Support patients using BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass the dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some background with CVA and TIA patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation time
Total joint replacement experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Comfort with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios on a 49-bed unit
Strong assessment skills for cardiac, respiratory, and post-surgical patients
Ability to work collaboratively with charge nurses and CNAs
Flexibility to float across units and campuses
