Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with manager balancing, 2 weekends per 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to telemetry and medical-surgical patients including CHF, respiratory, GI, diabetic, and post-cath cases
Interpret cardiac rhythms and sign off on strips at least once per shift
Monitor patients on set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse aides to deliver excellent patient outcomes
Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to support team needs across the facility
Document care accurately using Cerner electronic health records

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some experience with CVA and TIA patients preferred
Total joint replacement experience preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Medical-surgical nursing fundamentals
Patient assessment and care planning
Electronic documentation with Cerner
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
