Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips each shift to keep patients safe
Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, and post-cath needs
Collaborate with the care team on total joint replacement recovery and stroke/TIA support
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed to support the broader hospital community
Document assessments and interventions accurately in Cerner with minimal orientation time

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass the dysrhythmia exam with 80 percent on the first or second attempt
Experience reading basic telemetry strips and interpreting dysrhythmias
Preferred experience with total joint replacements, CVA, and TIA patients
Cerner experience strongly recommended due to one-shift orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Medical-surgical nursing fundamentals
Patient assessment and care planning
Comfort with BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments
Strong communication and teamwork across shifts
