Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect resident care using the nursing process: assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate and document
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Interpret diagnostic tests and integrate findings into the plan of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, efficient resident care
- Educate residents and significant others about care plans and treatments
- Contribute to performance improvement efforts to enhance resident outcomes and quality of care
Qualifications
- Current California RN license required
- Current CPR certification required
- At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) care preferred
- Ability to perform nursing assessment, care planning, medication administration and documentation
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Nursing process and patient assessment
- Care planning, implementation and evaluation
- Medication administration and safe documentation
- Interpreting diagnostic tests and integrating results into resident care
- Cultural competency and resident education
- Strong collaboration and interdisciplinary teamwork skills

- Pay scale with 30 increments to reward up to 30 years of relevant experience
