Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing care to assigned patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data to identify changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to policy and provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions and responses in the medical record
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and maintain required clinical skills
• Adhere to infection control standards and complete required personal health screenings and vaccinations
• Educate patients and families on condition, care plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with verification
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required (listed in order details)
• Experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing (clinical competency expected)
• Completion of required health screenings: Fit test, drug screen, immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella), and TB test or IGRA
• Ability to complete Trinity specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Med/Surg clinical assessment and prioritization
• Strong medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and handoff techniques
• Proficient documentation and charting practices
• Ability to work independently on night shifts and escalate concerns appropriately
