Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate in the cardiac cath lab during diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring safe, efficient patient care
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation per unit protocols while maintaining patient safety and communication
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and unit staff to coordinate procedural flow and maintain a 4-staff-per-case model
• Document procedures accurately in Merge and assist with electronic charting to support continuity of care
• Prepare and maintain specialized equipment (Philips and Siemens systems) and troubleshoot with the team as needed
• Provide compassionate patient education and pre/post-procedure support to improve patient experience
• Participate in call rotation and respond to emergent cath lab needs with professionalism and calm

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification (required)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Experience as a Cath Lab circulating technologist with moderate sedation experience (minimum 1 year experience required)
• Familiarity with Merge documentation system preferred
• Comfort working with advanced cardiac procedures such as LHC, RHC, TAVR, TEER, EP, ECMO, Impella, ICD/PPM, peripheral and endovascular AAA procedures
• Ability to follow unit policies, wear required scrubs, and integrate into a fast-paced cardiac cath environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Cath lab circulation and procedural workflow
• Moderate sedation monitoring and safety practices
• Merge documentation system competency
• Experience with LHC, RHC, TAVR, TEER and electrophysiology procedures
• Familiarity with ECMO, Impella, ICD/PPM management and peripheral endovascular procedures
• Operation and basic troubleshooting of Philips and Siemens cath lab imaging equipment
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered bedside manner
