Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate ICU nursing care for critically ill patients during night shifts
• Perform and assist with critical procedures such as central line and A-line placement and intubation
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic and neurological data, responding promptly to changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate clear handoffs at shift change
• Support unit standards and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives
• Serve as a dependable team player on high-acuity nights, prioritizing patient safety and dignity

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care nursing experience (explicit requirement)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Comfortable with Meditech EMR (preferred) and high-acuity documentation
• Experience or comfort with central line/A-line care and intubation
• Familiarity with neuro and oncology patient care is a plus
• Able to work nights and meet weekend coverage expectations

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in ICU settings
• Proficiency with standard ICU equipment and patient monitoring
• Skill in airway management and basic invasive line care
• Clear, concise clinical documentation and effective handoff communication
• Team-oriented attitude with accountability and compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to prioritize in high-stress situations and follow unit policies
