Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care nursing for oncology/BMT ICU patients, managing complex needs with compassion
• Manage ventilator care and BiPAP patients, adjusting settings and monitoring response
• Titrate drips safely and accurately, perform frequent assessments and documentation
• Deliver total care including tracheostomy care, dressing changes, turning and mobility assistance
• Operate and troubleshoot ICU equipment such as CRRT, A-lines, flow-track and IV pumps
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Use Meditech EMR to document care, communicate changes, and coordinate patient plans

Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) credential — eligible to practice in the assignment state
• Minimum 1 year ICU/critical care experience (strong ICU experience required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Comfortable with ventilator management, drip titration, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with BiPAP patients; CRRT and transplant experience preferred
• Ability to work rotating weekends and adapt to unit staffing patterns

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care and ICU nursing best practices
• Ventilator management and BiPAP care
• Drip titration and hemodynamic monitoring
• Tracheostomy care and total care for critically ill patients
• CRRT operation and care (preferred)
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record
• Skill with A-line management, flow-track, and IV pump operation
• Strong communication and teamwork with physicians and nursing staff
