Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled respiratory therapy assessment, treatment and evaluation for acute care patients
• Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment including V60, Servo-1 and Servo-U
• Deliver therapies such as CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, nebulizer treatments and suctioning
• Perform timely and accurate documentation in Meditech to support patient care continuity
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify respiratory care plans
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and support codes with competence and calm
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and discharge plans to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Current NBRC credential (RRT) and active state RT license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced teaching facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ventilator management skills and experience with V60, Servo-1 and Servo-U
• Proficient with high-flow oxygen therapy, CPAP, BiPAP, nebulizers and suction devices
• Skilled in patient assessment, critical thinking and timely clinical documentation
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system preferred
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills with physicians and nursing teams
