Roles & Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to outpatient cardiology patients following established standards
Assist providers and clinical staff with examinations, procedures, and care coordination
Act as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers to ensure seamless care
Perform and interpret EKG monitoring and support cardiac arrhythmia management under provider guidance
Administer and monitor cardiac medications, documenting responses and interventions
Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, medications, and follow-up care
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement activities

Qualifications

MT Registered Nurse licensure required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Basic coronary class is required
At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience preferred
Strong basic office skills and key boarding skills

Education

Graduate of nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with EKG interpretation and recognition of cardiac arrhythmias
Knowledge of cardiac medications and related nursing care
Familiarity with basic nursing principles and procedures
Medical terminology and patient care coordination skills
Ability to assist providers and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
