Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Perform timely vital signs checks and accurately document findings
• Support safe patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning
• Assist nursing staff with treatment implementation and patient comfort
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the care team clearly and promptly
• Support admissions, discharges, and smooth handoffs during shift changes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• Active placement on the state CNA registry as required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort working overnight shifts and adapting to variable per-diem schedules
• Strong communication skills, punctuality, and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
• Taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Assisting with ADLs including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
• Basic infection control and sanitation practices
• Clear, respectful communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Basic clinical documentation and charting practices
