Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide professional, compassionate nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care to meet patient needs
• Implement nursing interventions and treatments while continually evaluating their effectiveness
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC patient charts (EPIC experience preferred)
• Serve as a strong team member and liaison between patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and coworkers to support safe, coordinated care
• Support clinical leadership and follow unit direction; collaborate with Charge Nurse or Clinical Coordinator when leaders are absent

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of previous RN experience (required)
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider (current and renewed every two years)
• Med/Surg experience preferred
• EPIC patient charting experience preferred
• Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a team
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in the nursing process: assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Patient assessment and clinical judgment in Med/Surg settings
• Care planning and coordination across multidisciplinary teams
• Implementation of nursing measures and monitoring outcomes
• Effective teamwork and strong communication skills
• Proficient documentation practices (EPIC experience is a plus)
