Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a 23-bed ED
• Perform rapid assessment, triage and ongoing monitoring to prioritize patient needs
• Administer medications and emergency interventions, including cardioversion and TNK when indicated
• Deliver moderate sedation care under unit protocols and collaborate with the care team
• Document clinical care accurately and efficiently in Meditech EMR
• Maintain safe patient ratios (typical 4:1) while coordinating with paramedics and techs
• Contribute to the unit culture through participation in the Unit Based Council and team initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (able to work in Texas)
• BLS and ALS required
• TNCC and ENPC or PALS required (ENPC preferred over PALS)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Comfortable with ED procedures such as cardioversion, TNK administration and moderate sedation
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR or willingness to learn quickly
• Team-player attitude, flexible schedule approach, and a positive, upbeat demeanor

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Experience with advanced cardiac interventions and acute medication administration
• Knowledge of moderate sedation protocols and patient monitoring
• Ability to work efficiently within a 4:1 patient ratio in a fast-paced ED
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR documentation and clinical workflows
• Excellent communication, collaboration and teamwork abilities
• Adaptability to fluctuating patient volumes and staffing patterns
