Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered ICU care through skilled assessment, planning, and interventions
• Manage complex patient conditions and monitor life-sustaining equipment with attention to detail
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
• Perform timely documentation and handoffs to maintain continuity and safety of care
• Lead critical interventions during emergencies and escalate concerns appropriately
• Mentor and support fellow staff and contribute to a positive unit culture

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for North Carolina (or compact RN license as applicable)
• Minimum 2+ years of recent ICU nursing experience as specified in the job details
• BLS and ACLS certification strongly preferred or required by facility
• Proven ability to manage ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive infusions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively on a fast-paced critical care team
• Current immunizations and any facility-specific onboarding requirements completed prior to start

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills for high-acuity patients
• Familiarity with ICU technology: ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and infusion pumps
• Proficiency in electronic health record documentation and medication administration safety
• Skilled in bedside procedures common to critical care and emergency interventions
• Team-focused approach with strong prioritization and time management abilities
