Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
- Continuously assess patient status and respond quickly to changes
- Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform complex nursing interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize care plans
- Document patient care accurately and communicate handoffs clearly at shift change
- Support families with clear, empathetic communication during critical moments
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) strongly preferred
- Previous ICU nursing experience (preferred) with comfort managing ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring
- Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to fast-paced critical care environments
- Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care assessment and monitoring
- Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced hemodynamic support
- IV medication administration and titration
- Electronic medical record documentation
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in high-acuity settings
