Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient comfort and dignity
• Support safe patient transfers and repositioning following facility protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation and report observations promptly
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility safety procedures

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• Valid state-specific CNA certification/license (California)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and required pre-employment screenings
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work night shifts as a per diem team member

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with patient hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Skilled at taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Familiar with basic infection control and safety procedures
• Able to follow care plans and report changes in patient condition
• Team-oriented with good interpersonal and time-management skills
• Basic charting/EMR familiarity is a plus
