Shift Type: Wednesday-Thursday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Night (overnight per-diem shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
Safely assist with patient transfers, mobility, and positioning
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
Document care and observations accurately in the patient record
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff
Support infection control practices and follow facility safety protocols

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in California
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing direct patient care
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Previous experience in long-term care, hospital, or skilled nursing preferred

Education

Completion of an accredited CNA training program
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Basic nursing procedures and patient care techniques
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Infection prevention and sanitation best practices
Accurate vital sign measurement and documentation
Ability to follow care plans and report clinical changes clearly
Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
