Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with 1 night per week on call and every 5th or 6th weekend on call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties including neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, GYN, and general procedures
Collaborate with surgical teams using the DaVinci robotic system and support trauma cases in the ER when needed
Float to pre/post-op and PACU areas as trained to ensure seamless patient care
Maintain flexibility with varied daily schedules while upholding the highest safety standards
Educate and mentor colleagues while contributing to a culture of teamwork and continuous learning

Qualifications

Active RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong experience in neurosurgery and all major surgical service lines
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90% score during orientation
Valid driver's license for radius verification at time of submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of adult, geriatric, pediatric, and obstetric surgical procedures
Familiarity with DaVinci robotics and trauma response protocols
Strong adaptability to changing daily case assignments
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care standards
