Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with rotating call coverage

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional patient care across a variety of surgical specialties
Collaborate with surgeons and the OR team during general, orthopedic, GYN, ENT, and robotic procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile fields while ensuring patient safety throughout each case
Float between College Station and Bryan campuses to support wherever you're needed most
Respond to call coverage with confidence, knowing trauma experience is a plus
Mentor and support new travelers as they join this welcoming unit

Qualifications

Active RN license with at least 2-3 years of operating room experience
BLS certification required
Previous travel nursing experience essential
Hands-on experience with DaVinci Xi robotics system
Comfortable with a wide range of cases including general, ortho, GYN, ENT, and GI procedures
Willingness to float between two nearby campuses as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of surgical information systems similar to Cerner or EPIC
Ability to handle 5-30 cases daily across OR, endo, and cysto rooms
Understanding of call response expectations within 30 minutes
Flexibility to adapt to both planned schedules and urgent call situations
Team-first mindset in a smaller, close-knit department
