Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients on a specialized Visual Monitor Unit
Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes
Collaborate with psychiatrists and behavioral health techs to support patients with secondary mental health needs
Maintain strict sterile technique during Foley catheter insertions and central line dressing changes
Float to ED psych holds or MedSurg floors as needed to support hospital-wide care
Document accurately in Cerner while delivering patient-centered nursing interventions

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
Strong MedSurg/Telemetry skills with a genuine interest in working with patients who have behavioral health needs
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed) and complete pass/fail SIMs Lab on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Cerner electronic medical record documentation
Sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line care
De-escalation and safety monitoring for confused or low-cognitive-ability patients
Video monitoring systems and chemical restraint protocols
